We have restructured our ensembles and all Musica members are also members of our non-auditioned choir, St. Maries Chorale. Musica tuition includes Chorale tuition and Musica members are not expected to pay both dues. Chorale and Musica rehearse together from 7pm - 8pm and Musica rehearses from 8pm - 9:30pm.

About Us

St. Maries Musica is an auditioned adult choir for singers 18 and older. Our fall and spring concert performances bring choral entertainment in a wide variety of styles to southern Maryland and beyond. Our broad repertoire is comprised of musical styles that reach across generations, including madrigal and celebrated historical performances.

The Christmas season concerts bring joy as we sing traditional and contemporary carols and seasonal music. Members dress in Renaissance style apparel for the Holiday concerts. Our spring concerts typically have us singing more modern and rousing selections while dressed in our formal attire. Most concerts are performed with Chorale members. Musica also performs some holiday concerts for private organizations.

The Musica performance schedule can range anywhere between 4-7 concerts per season and may require traveling to different locations throughout the tri-county area (mainly St. Mary’s County). The spring 2025 concert dates are HERE.

We invite you to attend our concerts throughout the year for delightful and memorable musical performances. Most of our concerts are free and open to the public, however, some of our performances are private or have a nominal fee for adults.

St. Maries Musica Registration

2025 winter Musica registration is now open. Current Musica members are asked to register each semester to help determine music ordering quantities. As a member of St. Maries Musica, it is expected that you will help serve on a committee. More information about these opportunities will be provided at future rehearsals.

Membership dues are required each season. Dues for St. Maries Musica are $100.00 per season. This fee includes music and other administrative costs. Other Costs and rehearsals

Musica members may need to purchase concert apparel. Musica often wears Rennaissance style costumes for the winter season.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at the First Saints Community Church 25550 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Musica rehearses from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Rehearsals for the 2025 winter season begin August 25, 2025.
